Nepal – Traveling

The Nepal team has finally reached their new destination in a very remote village. It took a 10-hour bus ride and another 10 hours of hiking to an elevation of approximately 5,000 feet. Currently we are working with Fishtail helicopter charters and MAF to get a helicopter scheduled to long-line food supplies in. We are buying rice, lentils, spices and cooking oil so that we can send them in. Today, Philip will look for a staging area closer to the site, so that we don’t have to fly the helicopter so far every time. MAF has asked us if we would be willing to go around to remote villages and do assessments so that they know what’s out there and what the needs are. We see this is a great opportunity to work with our partners.
