Ukraine Rebuild: From A Volunteer

The list of houses that are in need of being reroofed keeps growing, and the Ukraine rebuild team has been hard at work making it happen! Despite an unusual amount of rain within the first two weeks of us being here, our team has been able to complete several house roofs and still has a very large list of roofs that need to be done.

Most afternoons, the homeowners offer us tea or coffee, and we sit around and talk with them. As of now we are working without a translator, but even so, we have been able to communicate via Google Translate.

We’ve also been trying to get to know the local community more while we’re here. Some evenings, we’ll head to the local soccer field or park, play a game, or just hang out with the kids.
