Hurricane Debby Response

20 24

Hurricane Debby struck Florida on August 4th-5th as a Category 1 hurricane. The storm brought heavy rainfall that led to flash flooding, with water levels ranging from 6 inches to several feet. Wind speeds reached up to 80 mph in some areas, causing damage to power lines and leaving numerous homes without electricity.

How we Helped

We received numerous requests for help with homes affected by water damage—ranging from a few inches to five feet. The immediate needs were fans, dehumidifiers, and volunteers to help with mucking and gutting. Proper ventilation and dehumidification is crucial to prevent mold and further damage!

With the teams of people we had we were able to help gut and dry out many of the homes.
