Volunteers Needed in Kentucky!

We are opening the project for volunteers to come in and help with the flood cleanup efforts. There is a lot of manpower needed to clean out houses, remove water damaged building materials, and clean up debris from yards, driveways, and streams. We also have a need for dump trailers and skid loaders.

A lot of the damage is in very rural, mountainous areas with small roads, and
it is still a very fluid and rapidly changing scenario. We had minor flash flooding this morning in some areas. There is more rain forecasted this week and flash flood watches are in effect. As of this morning, the death toll for the area was approximately 30, with still 100+ people unaccounted for.

In the midst of the damage and loss, it is fascinating to see the local community and the community at large opening their hearts and giving in whatever way they can. At a time like this, with devastation all around, it means more than words can describe to those who lost homes and loved ones.

If you’d like to help, but can’t volunteer, consider donating. Your gift will help us help them.
