Volunteer Testimony

Volunteering after Helene was my first experience in any disaster response, and I had no idea what to expect or what I was doing. I only knew that Abba had nudged, and that somehow I would end up in the right place. I’m positive I received far more blessing than any service I had to offer. While seeing the gratitude in teary eyes and offering hugs and kindness to the ones who lost so much, I was myself challenged and inspired by their own generosity and resilience. Not to mention the blessing of working with an incredible and inspiring team of true heroes, not looking for personal glory but humbly loving, serving, listening, caring about individuals. I was impacted deeply in many small ways and will always carry the memories and lessons with me, as well as new friendships. The heart and network behind PCCR is beautiful, and I was honored to experience a week of working alongside the noble hands and feet of Jesus.
