Thailand: Running Club

In December we started a running club at the home. What we expected to be a small group of 10 runners, turned into 50 runners. Three days a week found this dedicated group of 50 kids running down the street at 5:30 am. We lost a few runners along the way, but at the end of our program we still had 40 kids.

After weeks of training, we held a race to choose 10 runners and take them to an official race.

Last week we had the opportunity to take our 10 qualifiers to a race in Chiang Rai, and the excitement was high. It was a proud moment when three of our boys placed 1st-3rd in the race.

We had an evening of mookata to celebrate with everyone that made it to end of the running club.
