Within the past two weeks, Sumas, Washington has been devastated with not one, but two floods that have affected 80% of the homes in the city. This flood was the highest level recorded in the area in the last 100 years, and, unfortunately, most homeowners do not have home insurance.
We are excited to deploy our first stateside response team this weekend to help with the immediate needs! For the next three weeks or so, we will be working to remove the waterlogged insulation from crawl spaces and also replacing/repairing drywall. This will also be the first time we get to use our First Response RV, fully equipped.
We are in contact with the mayor of the city. The budget is $25,000 which will go towards the cost of fuel, lodging, meals, rentals, and materials. Any funds over this budget will go towards our First Response fund for future deployments!

This project has been closed as of 12/20/2021. Thank you for all your support!
