Sometimes in life, we need a reminder of God’s grace. This trip was my reminder. Almost immediately upon arriving in South Sudan, things started getting delayed. Flights seemed to elude us continuously. Booked out. Unavailable. Postponed. The hope of reaching the people we came to serve was a roller coaster of a ride. But after much prayer, we finally arrived. With a team of four, and forty-eight hours, we were able to partner up with the locals to distribute food to seven thousand people. As well as passing out little gifts to the children. We leave this place knowing that we have not fixed all their problems. Rather, by the grace of God, we were able to relieve a little part of their burden and shine the light of Jesus into a place torn apart by war.
