Peace in the Unknown

July has seen a significant increase in evacuees, with a record of 89 people evacuated in just 4 days, with the “Beast” out for repairs, we’ve been using a replacement vehicle that has brought mixed feelings, with the color potentially making us more of a target, but yet realizing God is our ultimate protection!

It was our first time going into the hot zone after the drone strike and we had received many requests for evacuations. After arriving at the staging area, we discussed our options. There was some uncertainty about going in without the police. So, we decided to pray, asking God for clear direction: should we go in, or not?

After we prayed we had a clear sense of peace about going! We had 2 locations to go to, when we arrived, the people were already waiting for us, we loaded up and headed back, we came across a few fresh drone strikes, but God once again had his hand of protection over us!

I was once again reminded of the incredible power of prayer and the deep sense of peace God gave us within the team. Yes, there are dangers—but with the peace of God, we can confidently go into the unknown.
