Lebanon; Our Final Week

It’s been a few days since our team left the beautiful country of Lebanon. In our last week there we introduced a local NGO to the mayor of the village where we had previously built a few shelters. We held a training to teach our local partners how to build the shelters and transported all our materials and supplies to their base. With these resources, they can continue in longterm ministry to those who have come to their country in need. We will continue monitoring the situation for any changes, and offer assistance should our help be needed there again.

  We are grateful to God for the opportunities we have had to make new friends and connections, and we pray that those who continue the work on the ground would be blessed in their efforts to bring the love of Jesus to those they serve.

Beautiful Moments from our time in Lebanon;

   “” It can be chaos, building shelters here in Lebanon.

As I lift the styrofoam and head towards the shelter, it is suddenly lifted higher as eager young hands grab hold.

“Careful,” I say, thinking of the delicacy of the styrofoam.

“Relax, relax,” he responds. “I will take it.” “”

Though their eagerness to help sometimes makes the work harder rather than easier, the smiles on their faces are more than enough reward for the inconvenience. How very lovely it has been to work here in this land with these beautiful people.
