Jamaica Rebuild: Gratitude

Just got back from Jamaica and I can’t stop thinking about the moment we finished that house.

It wasn’t big. It wasn’t fancy. But when that family walked through the door for the first time, the look on their faces said everything. Pure gratitude over something I’ve never thought twice about in my life.

That hit me hard.

I went down there thinking I was going to help somebody. I came back realizing I’m the one who needed it. This trip has a way of holding a mirror up to your own life and reminding you just how good you have it. I needed that more than I knew.

Thankful for the family that let us into their world. Thankful for the team. Thankful to God for the reminder.
