A story of a teenager at the home

Thank you for taking care of my dental health!

Meet Lowla, a fifteen year old girl from a tribe somewhere here in Thailand. She is one of the sweetest, most humble girls I have had the privilege of meeting at the orphanage. She has many responsibilities at the home, like helping make sure the food for dinner gets to all the children, taking care of the nursery babies, laundry, and I’m sure so much more.

She came to me a few weeks ago and asked me to help her with her teeth, she said it hurt to eat food, and wondered if we could take her to the dentist. We talked to Miss Luann, and she set up an appointment for her the next week. The doctor said she had five cavities, and needed three teeth removed. So we went in over the next 3 weeks to get the teeth fixed. Lowla had never been to the dentist in her life, and even though she was scared, she was so thankful that we would help her and that her pain would be gone!

I am so thankful PCCR stepped in and has been allowing us to take children to see the doctor if necessary, and will pay for all the medical care if the insurance doesn’t cover it. Some of the children don’t have any insurance and need us to cover all the expenses. I am blessed to see these beautiful children get the care they need because of an organization that is willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Now, Lowla is pain free, and has more confidence in her smile. She is just one of 510+ children that need love and care, and since she has asked, there have been several more that are also hoping for the same results.
