Ukraine Rebuild: Jesus in the Center

The past few weeks have been busy with rebuilding. The longer I’m here, the more I realize the importance of keeping Jesus at the center of everything we do. It’s so easy—especially with the language barrier—to just complete a job and move on without taking the time to truly show people love and that we care about them!

I was reminded of this recently when we went to look at a job for a dear old lady. Her neighbors had called and asked if we could fix her roof. When we arrived, she showed us the damage and then told us through tears in her eyes, that within the past year, her two sons and her husband had died. She had no one left to ask for help.

Times like this make me realize the devastation so many people here are facing because of the war. I’m once again reminded what a blessing friends and family are! Thank God for them today, things can change in an instant!
