Ukraine

While I am here, I am often reminded that God’s protection is very real. Our team had pulled up to a house with three people already in the van. The driver didn’t see a well that was covered by a piece of roofing and dropped the front right tire and side of the van into it. We weren’t hidden at all, and the section of town we were in was quite dangerous. We weren’t sure how to get the van out, but we thought maybe we could jack it up and put something under the tire. While working, two strikes hit a couple of streets over, so we unloaded everyone and put them by a house, then kept working. A bit later, four more strikes came in very close. We worked for forty-five minutes to an hour until we got it lifted high enough to stick some boards and pipes under the wheel, eventually getting it out unharmed. So much could have been damaged, and we could have easily been hit by a drone or shelling, but God was there, keeping us from harm as He has during many other evacuations.
