Ukraine

We have recently opened our own IDP shelter in Dnipro to support those who have been forced to flee their homes due to the war. The shelter can accommodate up to 50 people, though it is most comfortable with 40. It has six bedrooms, ranging from 10-bed to smaller rooms with 3 beds, and has four bathrooms, and two kitchens.
Our goal is to be a halfway house for IDPs while we help them find a more permanent place. We provide hot showers, clean beds, food, and anything else needed to make them feel welcomed and cared for. Additionally, the shelter gives us, along with our chaplain Leonid, an opportunity to share the Gospel and extend love and compassion to those in need.
We have a two-week limit for each family or individual, as the shelter is not a long-term solution but rather a temporary place of comfort and security while they regain their footing. So far, the shelter has been a success. We are still working out some details and figuring out how we can be most effective.
