The work here in Jamaica has certainly had its challenges. From roads blocked by debris to unreliable vehicles and flat tires, no two days have been the same—but that’s to be expected when serving in a disaster zone. Still, there’s something deeply meaningful about bringing hope to those who need it most. Whether it’s tarping a damaged roof, clearing a roadway, or helping someone reconnect with loved ones, the gratitude of the Jamaican people makes every effort worthwhile.
We’ve been steadily overcoming obstacles to reach farther south, into the hardest-hit villages where road access is difficult. Recently, we partnered with Jase Response, Beacon Rescue, and Waves for Water to deliver water filters and medical supplies to a tribal community in the south. We will continue to push further inland, bringing relief to remote villages and assisting in rebuilding homes and lives.
Please pray for safety on the narrow mountain roads, for dependable vehicles, and—most importantly—that the hope of the Gospel would continue to shine brightly among the people of Jamaica.
