As an organization, PCCR has been blessed with the opportunity to spend the past 2 years in Thailand. We have learned much from this experience. And as we wrap up the Thailand Project in the next few weeks, we say thank you to God and to all who have supported this work through prayer and financial support.
Thinking a bit about the impact that has been made. Since April 2024, when our first team got to Thailand, a total of 48 volunteers have served on this field. In the past 2 years our teams have taught English classes regularly and provided basic medical care for the children at the home. Countless hours were spent cleaning and making improvements to help combat the spread of germs and sickness. Many miles were driven to the hospital and dentist for much needed medical care for the children. And because of your financial support over the past 2 years, we were able to help provide a stable food budget for around 500 children, empowering staff to prepare balanced, nutritious meals necessary for the children’s health. We were also able to fund a few renovation projects, including building and outfitting 2 new medical rooms and renovating some unused space for additional classrooms.
When I think about the children and staff at the home in Thailand, I am grateful that PCCR was able to step into their lives for 2 years and play a supporting role in the work that God and others were already doing. Even though our team is leaving soon, remember to pray for the long-term work in Thailand and for those who will continue serving there.
