Thailand: An Eternal Investment

Coming back to the children’s home here in Thailand after being away for a few weeks or even a few days is always so fun. There is never a shortage of children that are absolutely overjoyed to see you again, often asking all kinds of questions in whatever broken English they know about where you went, when you came back, and why you were gone. One of the hardest parts about investing so much time and energy into the children’s lives here is realizing that for most if not all of the children I will never be able to see what decisions they make in the future or where they will end up in life. The only thing that I can hope and pray for is that one day in heaven I will get to meet them again and this time I will ask them all the questions about how their life turned out and what they accomplished for the kingdom of God.
