Nepal: A Trip to the Resuwa District

Our trip to the Resuwa District by dirt bike turned out to be quite a bit different from what we first expected. The traveling was rough and took almost twice as long as we originally thought it would. The steep mountains, mixed with slick mud, landslides, and stuck vehicles, made our trip exciting.

We had the opportunity to stay the night with the Sherpa people, who are known for living in the high-altitude areas of Nepal, and there exceptional mountaineering skills. They were very kind and generous and excited to be with fellow Christians. We stayed the night with them and spent some time praying for the friends and family they had lost to the flood.

Then, the next day, we took an hour-long drive down the mountain to the affected area near the river, where we were able to talk to the locals and see the Nepalese government conducting rescue operations at one of the hydropower tunnel entrances.
