God’s Protection and Timing

God’s Protection and Timing

We so often talk about how God will protect us—and He does, time and time again.

Since coming to Ukraine, there have been so many moments when I’ve witnessed God’s protection and perfect timing. There are countless examples I could share, but I’ll just mention a few.

One time, we were heading out to do evacuations, and traffic was especially heavy. We weren’t able to make good time like we normally can. After a little while, we came across a very bad accident that had just occurred. Had we not been delayed by the heavy traffic, we would have been right there when it happened—and could have even been involved.

Other times, it’s artillery rounds coming in and landing right where you had been parked just minutes before. Or houses getting blown up only hours after you had evacuated people from them.

There are many more examples I could list. Some people might say it’s just coincidence, or that we got lucky with the timing. But one thing I know—without a shadow of a doubt—is that God’s hand was at work in all of it.

There are many verses that talk about God always being with us, so I’ll end with one of those:

Deuteronomy 31:8
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
