One day we went to pick up a mom and her two young sons. During the ride, the boys were talking on the phone to someone. Later, my teammate informed me he understood it to be their father. Looking back, it makes me wonder if their father is serving in the Ukraine military, risking his life defending his country? If so, would he ever have the opportunity to embrace his boys in a hug again? So many children are reaping the effects of the war. We drive past different memorials of fallen soldiers. How many children are fatherless? Looking into the future, the repercussions of war will linger. Many children will likely be raised without a father figure in their home to lead and protect. Although many have lost their earthly father, I hope they come to know the love of their Heavenly Father. A Father who always loves. A Father they can always run to. The perfect Father.
Psalm 68:5 “Father to the fatherless, defender of widows-this is God, whose dwelling is holy.”
