Praise God! Today and tomorrow we will have over 200 volunteers, each day. Today, we are sending 75 people to Campbellsville which is 3.5 hours from our current base. We have coordinators from the area who will lead those teams and they will also be lodging in the Campbellsville area.
In addition to the work in Campbellsville, we are also sending numerous teams to Dresden, Tennessee to do debris removal. We are sending 50 people with their equipment to Dawson Springs to do debris removal there, and also have several teams doing cleanup in other towns in the area.
We have 50 people unloading trucks and sorting donated goods at the Mayfield KY fairground, which is a distribution point for donations.
One really neat detail is the fact that we have a large variety of people here. We have Amish, Mennonite, and an increasing amount of non-Anabaptist people. It is interesting to have volunteers that are both believers and non-believers alike, all pulling together for a greater cause! Each evening we have 1 or 2 men preach a short message. The goal is to keep it short, compact, and anointed, with the goal to speak truth into the hearts of the people and that they would meditate on that truth as they rest at night.Pray for us! As groups and work projects increase, it also takes more coordinating and finances from our end, but God provides! We are grateful to have a great management team in place to help navigate this need.
