the vision
We currently use a small area in the back of the main office as a medical room, where children may need to undress for treatment. We have a small divider for privacy, but it’s hard to keep the others from peeking in from curiosity to see what’s happening with their friend and would like to have a space that provides better privacy, especially separating the genders for their sake.
Our plan is to have two separate rooms, as to be able to effectively treat as many children as we need to in a timely manner, and to be able to separate the genders for when children need to stay the night and receive medicine/special care. This would include beds for children with fevers or for any kid that needs to be monitored, as well as have air conditioning to create a stable room temp during the hot season.
Hopefully these improvements can help us as a team, and the staff here at the “Home”, care for the children better, and create a safe environment for the children to come and receive the love and care they need.
