It’s amazing to see all of the good that can come from a major disaster like this earthquake. Many people have been strengthened in their walk with God from the communities that have been established as a direct result of working together after the earthquake.

Places that had been closed, and people who weren’t open to hearing the gospel or receiving help are now open to both, and amazing relationships are being built out of this. Even we, as foreigners, have built good relationships with the locals and others on the build teams and are able to share the gospel with them. There are many lost and searching souls.

It is an amazing thing to be able to bring a bit of joy into someone’s life after a disaster like this.

Even though winter is coming in the mountains, most people are still living in basic non-insulated tents. It is awesome to be building these shelters on site, and get to have the connection with the families of the shelter, and then be served tea and bread by them. They are so thankful for it and show it by taking very good care of us when we are in their village, often giving us more than we need even though they don’t have an abundance themselves.
