record-breaking tornado

20 21

During the night of 12/10-12/11 of 2021, tornadoes cause horrible damage to the regions of Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois. People were trapped in collapsing buildings, communities devastated with debris. There are many missing and many dead. The town of Mayfield, KY is almost wiped off the map. The storm was a discernible entity for just over 11 hours as it traveled 600 miles from Arkansas to Ohio, leaving massive damage in its path.

We sent a team on December 11th and were providing a platform to connect volunteers, teams and church groups with the needs in the area.

The cleanup was wrapped up at the end of January, but we provided volunteers at the fairgrounds in Mayfield for a few more weeks, to help with sorting donated goods and making them available to the public.
